Shave the noggin for cancer.
Cancer doesn’t care who it takes or what it destroys. It is relentless, merciless, and unforgiving. And I’m sick of it. F*ck cancer.Cancer has stolen so much from my life. It took my grandmother when I was just a child, leaving a hole in my family. A few years ago it came for my partner’s father. He was a fighter and bounced into remission with countless chemo sessions. But that didn't last. He endured a grueling bone marrow transplant, but passed away from a rare infection in the hospital. He never got the chance to come home or say his goodbyes. He put on such a brave face the whole time, and never once complained.
Watching someone you love wither away under the weight of this cruel disease is messed up. It’s not just the person who suffers; it’s the entire family. The grief and the anger—it’s something we’re still struggling to come to terms with. My partner’s life was turned upside down, and we are still picking up the pieces.
We need to fight back, together. Your donation —no matter the amount — can help fund life-saving research, provide support for families going through this nightmare, and give hope to those who are still fighting. I will be shaving my head in February as a tribute to the great man David, who we lost last year.
F*ck you cancer, now and forever.
Kick it to the kerb
Every year we lose so many Friends and Family to this dreaded cancer, and this year has been the hardest one for me.
I lost 2 close friends in 2024, Dean and Deb. Their bravery and strong will was a standout, both enjoyed a good fight, over so many topics, but unfortunately this was a fight they didn't win.
Ive been inspired by their can-do attitude and decided to shave my hair and donate my hair.
Our Team Kick to the Kerb consists of Belinda, Cory and Emily, they are either cutting or colouring their hair.
Please donate and help this worthy cause, every dollar can make a difference.
