Wei & Tena's Shave

By Wayne Cheng

Thanks for all the support!

I've grown it long enough and have cut the luscious ponytails off!

2022 Update!

Hey generous donors.

It has been a hectic few months and I have been religiously washing my hair with Conditioner and Shampoo.
I have never paid this much attention to my hair in my life!

The weird and wonderful things I never knew before growing my hair out.

-It gets really hot with long hair.
-It is hard to eat food without eating my own hair
-It is hard to sleep without getting a mouthful of hair
-The hair over my neck prevents sunburns!
-It is easier to pull out white hair when they are longer
-The Witcher must be wearing a wig because my hair doesn't look like Geralt's no matter how I tie it

So, it is now Feb and I'm closing the donations.
Thank you to everyone that supported me & Tena for this cause.

I will be updating who the winner is and also an updated photo of Tena and I.

Happy Lunar New Year!

Thanks Melbournians!

Due to overwhelming support, I have raised the target from $1000 to $2500!

I know times have been tougher for us in Melbourne due to lockdown.   I didn't expect so many people to have donated this fundraiser. Thank you everyone for your generosity.

Some of my friends are holding back their donations because they want to ensure they are not outbid at the last minute =).
They have indicated some hairstyles for my final cut.

W.A.T.S going on? Wei And Tena's Shave

Thanks for checking out my fundraiser.

My sister and I decided to do something constructive while in Covid.

Our aim is to grow our hair up to a minimum of 30cm so once it is cut off we can donate it to be made as a wig for children.

We aim to cut it sometime in Feb 2022. The date is to be determined.

As extra incentive, the person with the highest donation can choose what my final hair cut will be after the 30cm has been cut off!

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

My sister and I will be growing our hair out and getting it chopped in Feb 2022.

We are aiming to get a fundraiser and also grow our hair to a minimum 30cm length so we can also donate it for companies to make wigs for children.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my walk, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
