Shepparton Netball Association - Cancer Awareness Day

By Tracey Toy

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

At Shepparton Netball Association we would like to introduce our Netball Round 4 in memory to 'Annie Watt' that we lost last year to Cancer. Annie is the wife of Owen Watt our First Aider here at SNA.

We all know someone that has been affected by cancer and we wanted to create a special fundraiser to raise some much needed funds for research to keep fighting the fight for all our family and friends that have been touched by Cancer.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my event, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
