I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my walk, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.

When you are losing a member of your family to cancer all have is hope for another tomorrow, as a community, helping these families have the promise of more time with their loved ones is something we need to do. Donating will help provide funds for cancer research and treatments that can keep our angles on earth with their families. 


Our names are Sophie Burnell and JJ Burnell and we vow to shave to help raise funds for cancer. 

Sophie - Recently I have lost someone to Cancer, Karen, mother of two and loved wife and all I wanted was for them to have more time with their Angel.  On the 18th of October I am shaving my head and donating my hair to a cancer wig charity for women who have undergone chemotherapy and have lost their hair as a result. Because of cancer I will never get to meet my Grandfather, because of cancer mothers are left without children and because of cancer JJ and I are doing everything we can to raise as much as we can to help in the fight against it. 

JJ - Because of cancer I have never met my grandmother, because of cancer I will never see my step-grandma again and because of cancer I am stepping up to shave an undercut on the 18th of October.
