Andy's Next Big Chop
Thanks so much to everyone that has donated so far, we reached the $1000 mark!I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
Hello Lovelies!
It's that time again... time for another hair donation!
It has been almost 2 years since the last hair donation and I easily have another 10+ inches to donate! I'm not sure I will reach the whopping 16 inches that we got last time, but my neck is thanking me for chopping sooner rather than later :P
My hair will be donated to make wigs that will be distributed to organisations like the Australian Alopecia Areata Foundation and Variety – the Children’s Charity to supply wigs to people experiencing hair loss as a result of illness.
I think it's a small contribution that I can make to brighten someone's day when they need it most.
At the same time, I would like to "feed two birds with one scone" (lol the original sounded a bit harsh here) and call on my lovely community to make a donation (if you can) to the Cancer Council.
Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer-free future. By supporting my chop, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
If I make it to $1000, my lovely boyfriend, Andy, has offered to donate his hair too and will allow me to do the chopping :D
