Strands of Strength - Lock of Love

I am very delighted to say i have donated my 50 cm of my hair now and posted it to Sustainable Salon for wig making. My husband supported my cause with shaving off his hair as well.

It has been such a wonderful journey from starting the fundraiser, cutting my long hair to packing and posting for wig making. Each and every step of the journey has bought me joy.

Above and Beyond

Thank you everyone who suppprted me for this awesome deed.  We have exceeded my fundraiser goal and gone above and beyond. Really appreciate all of you !!!! This is gratefulness to all of you from depths of my heart.

1 wig needs 20 ponytails !!!

Did you know that every year 6,000 ponytails are needed to make enough charitable wigs for Aussies and Kiwis suffering from cancer or alopecia?

Do you know that $1000 can help equip a laboratory-based research team working on cancer treatment developments. Advances in the detection and treatment of cancer increases the cancer survival rate up to 69% and it continues to ensure more people survive into the future. Thanks for making this possible !!!

What can $500 do?

Thank you for all who supported to reach $500 milestone. 

This give someone a chance to have 5 sessions with a nurse, counsellor or psychologist to help with cancer related challenges. This can be a huge support for someone who is facing difficult time of their life, all thanks to you.

Why $2700?

It's my 27th Birthday on 12th September.  Every $100 donated is a free wig for 27 'her's. Upon reaching the target I will donate beautiful long hair which was years of growth. 

Also my partner, will shave his hair off and join this good cause as well.

In a month's time it is my 27th birthday. I am very greatful for every breath I had and yet to have with the wealth of good health.

So I decided to donate my hair for 'her' and be the ray of sunshine to that beautiful soul who fighting their battle. My hope is her victory. Along that path I want to bring a smile to her face.  Let my hair be her beauty.

I  hope you would  join hands with me to be her ray of sunshine. My wish is to collect raise $2700 which is donated to Cancer Council Victoria to invest into researching a cure to this parasite.  A dollar you spent is a dollar spent on a someone's another day of life.

We all, in some point in life have heard that dreadful story of a beautiful soul loosing her battle to uncurable 6 lettered parasite within her...CANCER. This could have been your mother, sister, girlfriend, partner, daughter, grandma, a friend, a friend of friend or just someone you heard of, or a complete stranger.  

She fought her battle with all her will while keeping a smile on her face. Journey was not easy. It was like swimming the sea  until you meet its horizon, never ending.  One point of this journey she lost her beautiful hair to those rays of sunshine in chemo. It was her only hope to see another daylight.
