I am so grateful for all the donations I've received so far. And I certainly wasn't expecting donations from friends abroad as this is an Australian charity. But I've had to up my target again and again and it's only been less than a week since launch. Thank you so much for all those who've contributed so far, and those who've reached out with words of support - it means so much to me. ?? I’ve always dreamed of donating my hair, but recently, that dream has taken on a deeper, more personal meaning. My father-in-law was diagnosed with cancer late last year. Soon after, my mum was diagnosed with bowel cancer, and it has been a challenging and emotional time for our family. As I stand by her through this journey, I’ve realised that sometimes, the smallest acts of kindness can have the biggest impact.
That’s why I’ve decided to not only donate my hair on 12th July 20025 but also raise funds for the incredible work that the Cancer Council does to support research, treatment, and those impacted by cancer. The cut hair will be donated to Variety, the children's charity to be made into wigs. Every strand of hair represents hope, strength, and resilience—values I’ve witnessed first hand from our parents as they face their battle.
By contributing to this fundraiser, you’re helping to fund vital cancer research that could change the future for countless families like ours. I believe that together, we can make a difference in the fight against cancer, and your support will mean the world to my family and me.
