$2000 by 30 September 2022 and I dye my hair for a month

Hi there, 

My name is Desean and I started this initiative to raise funds and awareness in supporting Cancer Research,  People with Cancer and Cancer Prevention Program in Australia. 

Over the years, I had first hand experience of living and interacting with people with cancer - it has inspired me to play a small part to contribute for a good cause. 

The last time I shaved my head was for a children's cancer foundation and  a girl came up to me afterwards to thank me for this symbolic act as she shared her experience of how other kids treated her when she was going through chemotherapy and told me that she appreciated the support. This impactful moment made me realised that I can show support to affected people beyond just money. 

To make it interesting for this donation campaign,  I am targeting to raise $2,000 for Cancer Council Victoria by 31st October 2022, 12pm. And if I hit the target by 30th September 2022, I will dye my hair for a month prior to shaving my head. 

So get your friends and family members to come together and help support the good cause! 

I would like to thank my company Bridge42 for supporting me with this initiative and allowing me to run this campaign. 

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my event, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
