Darcie wants to help others.
I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.
Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.
Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my walk, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.

Hi Darcy, I want you to know that I have lost three of my Grandparents and my boyfriend who I loved very much - all to different types of cancer. Your efforts to raise money for the Cancer Council is so important because Cancer really sucks! To watch the disease slowly take someone you love away from you is terrible. To see them in pain and knowing there is nothing you can do about it is just s bad. But every time someone like you raises money for the Cancer Council, it goes towards research or buying a wig for someone going through chemo, or helping to pay for treatment or even helping a persons family to stay nearby while the patient undergoes treatment. These are all highly important and that's what makes you my favourite person today. Keep up the good work! PS: When you do shave your hair, if anyone teases you about it, remember why you've done it and hold your head up high with pride!!!
