Cancer can affect anyone at anytime, and it is hard to imagine until someone you love is affected. It is often sudden and almost impossible to prepare for.
By raising money, we provide funds for the organisations and scientists researching potential cures and treatments, with the goal that one day, we will be able to effectively treat cancer. In 2020, an average of 136 Australians died from cancer every day, and across the year almost 150,000 were diagnosed. My hope is that the money we raise will help people affected by cancer feel supported - even if it is just one.
I will be shaving my head to raise awareness, and even if you can’t donate, it would mean a lot if you pass on the above message and the link to the fundraiser.
