Four days to go...

Cue me now starting to freak out... But there’s no looking back.

I want to make mention of a friend who has decided to shave her head this week for my Mum too, she’s such a beautiful soul ? And to the family and friends who are turning their hair pink for Mum, I know it means the world to her ?

Ok... So I’m doing a thing... A BIG thing, well for me anyways...

Bit of a back story...
My Mum found a lump in her chest just before Christmas 2020... This is the third lump she has found, the first was a benign tumor, the second was when she had her mastectomy and this time was a lump in some breast tissue that was left after the mastectomy. 
Back in 2006 when Mum had her mastectomy and went through chemo and radiation my sister cut her hair short, but I refused as my hair is a big part of who I am. So I told Mum if there was chemo involved this time I would SHAVE my head. 
She has tried to talk me out of it ample times as she knows the attachment I have to my hair, but a promise is a promise... 27th Feb I lose my locks and donating them to a wig maker ?

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting me shaving my head, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
