We did it!!
Thank you to everyone who donated!! We have managed to smash the original goal of raising $250, and standing at $336 I couldn't be happier! This money will all be used by the Cancer Council for their life saving research and support programs and my ponytail is now being shipped off to Sustainable Salons in Sydney to contribute to the making of a wig for a young person :) Couldn't have done it without everyone!I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
Hello pals! I will be chopping off 30cm of hair on the 6th of Jan after 3 years of growth! As this is the day after my bday I'd be so grateful if you could spare $5 to the Cancer Council to help fund their very essential research and treatment support programs, and to help take a bit of the weight off of one family saving for a wig if they wish to have one through their journey. The wigs can contribute greatly to retaining a sense of self and confidence through and post treatment, but are obscenely expensive and on top of the cost of cancer treatment, and taking time off work, this should be the last thing a family has to worry about financially. I don't believe that cutting off my ponytail is particularly noble, it's not revolutionary or brave, but any money donated will help someone who faces much bigger struggles than me and small donations won't go astray????
