I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

My name is Benjamin Arch, and I am reaching out with a deeply personal request in the hope that your organisation might be willing to support a cause that means the world to me.

On November 24th, 2025, I will be setting out on a 460-kilometre run from Devonport to Dover, following the full length of the Tasmanian Trail. This journey spanning 10 days is more than just a physical challenge. It is a tribute to my cousin, Vincent Wilson, who tragically passed away from cancer on Thursday, May 15th, at just 40 years old. Vincent was a devoted father, partner, and friend.

This run is my way of honouring Vincent’s memory, channelling grief into purpose, and raising funds for Cancer Council a cause committed to research, prevention, and supporting families like mine. Cancer doesn’t just take lives; it leaves behind empty chairs at the dinner table, unanswered questions, and futures that will never be lived. My hope is that, through efforts like this, we can reduce the number of children growing up without a parent, and families mourning the loss of loved ones too soon.

Your support would not only help me complete this monumental journey but also amplify the message behind it: that every step we take together brings us closer to a future without cancer.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Whether or not you're able to contribute.
