Walking Stars

Generosity abounds

A recent donation from local family has given my fundraising a boost beyond my imagination.  I never cease to be amazed at the generosity of people in the region where I live.   It says a great deal about the extent to which people are impacted by cancer for themselves, their families, friends and communities.  It also says something about the faith / hope they have in medical researchers to keep working at doing whatever they can to find cures and/or better treatments.  Most humbled.

I’m walking to help all Victorians affected by cancer

Every year over 34,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

I'm helping Cancer Council Victoria by joining Walking Stars – a night-time walking half marathon in Melbourne’s CBD with a difference!

By supporting me, you’ll be funding ground-breaking cancer research, prevention programs and support services that offer a helping hand to Victorians affected by all types of cancer.
