We have all been affected by this awful disease in one way or another. It hits close to heart for most and I am stepping up doing my part by chopping 20+ Centre meters of my hair to raise funds for the Cancer Council.
The hair that is cut will be donated to Sustainable Salons who work with organizations like the Australian Alopecia Areata Foundation and Variety – the Children’s Charity to distribute my hair to people experiencing hair loss as a result of illness and send to wig markers to make a Wig. I have witnessed someone firsthand lose their hair after chemo and it quite a scary thing to go through.
Any cent helps and hope I can reach my fundraising goal before I chop the locks on my 22nd Birthday 16th June 2022
I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.
Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.
Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my walk, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
