Made the biggest rookie mistake this week. Into round of 32 in the DRSC Cup and VCed Laird. Took the 140 score with the loop of Hamilton and had Steele on the bench with the E. Seemed fine until I realised at the end of the Collingwood game that I also had the E on Carmichael who had been subbed on in the last quarter. Total loss of 111 points and top it off I lost my matchup by 60 points. Time to learn for next year.

Donate for dumb things Made the decision mid week to tank in order to get a more favourable cash league finals matchup for next week. Benched Bont, Macrae, Gawn, Danger and put the C on Reeves. Turns out I was looking at the LIVE ladder rather than the normal ladder and in reality had no chance of forcing a favourable league matchup. Instead of scoring 2493 points, I Scored 2051 and plummeted in rank in what’s been my best ever year in SuperCoach.

Reversed all changes on Thursday night. Didn't look at SC all Friday because I didn't need to do anything until Sunday. Woke up Saturday to see Grundy C and Bianco on field for Whitfield. The biggest enemy in our SC seasons are ourselves, not any of the AFL players.

I live in Scotland. I was all set to do Langford to Marshall, but waiting to hear late outs due to Marshall’s injury history. Checked AFL app, Saints game was listed at 10:25am my time on Saturday when I went to bed Friday night. Woke up at 7am on Saturday to discover Marshall had already played as the game had been moved to a different time slot!!! Donate for Dumb Things (This is long so you may not want to read on the poddie) I did a dumb thing that broke several SC commandments. Last week I had the CCJ f6 conundrum with no cover. I was going mason wood w the cash I had. Then bramble that glorious trap scored 120. It seemed the crazy brave move to trade a mid who had not yet played to Dangers. Cover f6 and bring Bramble score on field at f6. I had the choice of Walsh or Jelly. You can see where I went here. I chose to ignore my emotional Carlton bias. Don’t trade w the heart. I moved walsh on. As a Carlton man I have loved every punishing minute he has played since. What a star. I gave Jelly one more week - more to gauge size of donation than wether or not a donation was required - and fair to say I upped the donation considerably as Jelly goes down to the rooms after being subbed off. Dumbest trade this season. Never sideways. Never trade Walsh out. Never trade in Jelly.

Pulled the VC off Steele and picked Clarry just before the Thursday night bounce because I 'had a feeling', despite very logical arguments against from the community; copped it sweet with a middling VC and watched Steele rip it up Saturday night. Opportunity lost. A little easier to swallow because I said I'd donate if it turned pear-shaped. Congrats on hitting the target guys :)

Donating for dumb things. Straight up put the C on Parish. No idea how it happened, wasn't even planning on VCing him.

First and foremost I’m donating 10c for every point I lost in round 9 ($12) when I was using a loop for my C and had Laird on the bench and took the E off him (leant on my phone under a poncho at the Carlton v Dees) . It’s never happened to me before and I don’t plan on it ever happening again. Secondly I had a CC wager with LRTP that CCJ would surpass his 86.5 average. This did not end well for CCJ. He finished on 5. 10c for each point is $8.20 $20.20 all up :)

Lessons learnt so far. 1) Be patient and don't be too swayed by hype. Traded out Daniher for Waterman in round 5. Traded out Tex and Jiath too early as well. The bye rounds are a great recovery vehicle. 2) Older players are not guarenteed to break down.

First time donator for dumb things and donut in 4 years of SuperCoach. Started with the reeves late out that left me with 17 for the week and then the misery started. Decided on fielding debutant Worrell over Highmore which lost me 98 points. Then to take Highmores score fielded Whitfield over Short which also scored 111. My worst week in SuperCoach all time for me but all for a good cause.

Got caught unprepared by the Thursday game and ended up with Lachie Jones 43 stinking up my field and Highmore's 111 stranded on my bench (no bye players in DEF this week).

I keep for getting to do this and it is what it is, but gunner smashed pore old maso and got him self the win, tho it does not matter coz it’s always team jb for the win

Before trades have 21 on field in round 13 and 10 in Round 14 but don't have 8 players that I want trade out. Accidentally traded jack macrae out in my draft league for Darcy Moore. Not sure how I did it, I must have brushed his name when I was trading jack scrimshaw (maybe i saw the name jack and thought it was okay). It’s a cash league and it’s a keeper league so I basically gave someone the best mid in the comp, probably, for the next 5-10 years for free. He was locked out on waiver for two days so I had to message the group and apologise, offered a donation and to bench him for two weeks as a penalty. They all agreed not to trade him in on the waiver and I got him back.
