I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.
Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.
Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my walk, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
I was diagnosed with “unknown primary cancer” in Dec 2020! It is suspected that my primary cancer initiated from my appendix! It has spread to my ovaries, omentum, peritoneum and even fats on my liver and diaphragm!! All such shocking news and changed my ways of living/life/thinking so quick! Although I am currently on my 4th chemotherapy cycle (FOLFOx), it is deeply scary. However, the journey so far has created an incredible learning path about what life really is about “finding peace and happiness from within” and not to worry too mych about death!! I dare say my diagnosis with cancer has helped me become a much more calm individual ( I say dare because I dont want to make cancer sound like its a good thing because its NOT!).. I would give credit to the wonderful angels in my life!! They all know who they are ????
l woud love to make it clear that I do not want any “physical” presents/gifts this year instead I want you to donate to this this fundraising page which will help bring a small contribution to research in the hopes of creating a cancer free future!! That would be the biggest gift to me no matter how small the contributions are!! Everything and anything is appreciated!
Lots of love to you all, ????
ps: I am so appreciative that I made it to 28 years of life!!

Dear Tawar I am wishing you all the best with your chemo journey. I know it is not pleasant and I sincerely wish you were not facing this, especially at such a young age. My heart goes out to you, your husband and family. Wishing you a happy 28th Birthday. It is a wonderful charity you are helping to raise money for. I hope one day one of our scientists can discover a cure for this horrible disease. All the Best Stacey
