Cancer sucks, we need to fight it. I'd quote someone else on their thoughts on cancer, but I don't think it'd get past the mods.

Here's my hair in all it's glory. Just under 5 days till I get the clippers on this knotted mess (yet another reason to get the buzz cut, tbh).

I have no expectations on what will be raised, and so donate if you wish and share your story, too, if you need to.

I'm shaving my head to make wigs and raise funds for research.

My paternal grandma died of bowel cancer when I was 15. My step-grandfather had skin cancer all his life and died from lymphoma. My dad's brother died from leukaemia. My maternal grandma has lymphoma and it, too, is terminal.

I bet we've all got stories and experience with cancer, and I know that some of those stories are still unfolding, which means there's still work to be done.

I'm donating my hair to Sustainable Salon to turn it into wigs for those with cancer and alopecia, and raising what funds I can for the Cancer Council. It'll fund life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.

It's a short campaign, but I'd love your support in the form of cold, hard cash for Cancer Council.
