Update for the future

Hi all,

Our original goal was to run a combined 1,200 kilometres over 18 months and raise $1,000 each, for a total of $3,000 in support of Cancer Council Victoria.

Although the original challenge has concluded, I have chosen to keep this page active because supporting cancer research continues to be a cause that is close to my heart.

Welcome and introduction

Hi everyone,

Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

This project originally began in 2022 as part of my International Baccalaureate (IB) CAS project at Presbyterian Ladies’ College. What started as a high school initiative has grown into something I hope to continue throughout my university journey.

Supporting Australian medical research remains one of my greatest passions. I am currently completing a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Pathology, at the University of Melbourne, with the long-term goal of pursuing a career in medicine and biomedical research. As I continue my studies, I hope to contribute meaningfully to improving our understanding, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.

Outside of university, I enjoy traveling, spending time with loved ones, exploring nature, and gastronomy. 

As a passionate runner during high school, I had the idea of teaming up with a few fellow IB students to create a fundraising project in support of Cancer Council Victoria. We believed that small individual actions, when combined, can make a meaningful difference. Every kilometre we run and every donation received helps support vital cancer research, prevention, and support services.

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my run, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
