I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
December marks the 3 year anniversary since Sam lost his odds on bet and was made to grow his hair for 12 months. After the year elapsed he grew very fond of his new wizard locks and decided to keep growing until he got sick of it. Finally, Sam decided that he wanted to make something good of his situation and has decided to shave his head for charity, with the hopes of raising some much needed funds for the Cancer Council Victoria.
In a show of support, Tat is chiming in as well with a donation of some of her hair to create wigs for children suffering from cancer.
Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.
Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 70% will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.
Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my event, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
We would love for as many of you as possible to join us in either shaving, cutting, or colouring your hair on the night to show your support for this worthy cause. Of course, if that doesn't sound appealing, then we would love to just have you by our side, having a few drinks, a few laughs, and maybe reaching into your pockets.
The event will be held on Saturday 2 December 2023 at the St Kilda Bowls Club, starting at 7pm.
