I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
Our Friend Flo Swan was a very popular person in our community for a very long time. We lost him to cancer a few months ago. Since Flo leabing us, we at Mt Erica Lions club want to see our community keep fit and raise funds to help our cancer treatment centre at Warragul hospital and help find cures to cancer. We plan to hold a Flo Swan Memorial Walk from Erica Pavilion, where everyone pays an entry fee to walk along our specially sealed walkway up to Rawson and back again. It is approximately 7kms round trip. We plan to have an inclusive Family Fun event at the Erica pavilion with food, music, and kids activities after everyone has completed the walk. Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.
