Hey everyone,

It’s Nicole Nicnac Lummas here just wanting to do my bit to raise some funds to help support those in need or have been touched one way or another by this terrible disease.

Over many years iv lost lots of family & friends that have meant the world to me. In 2015,10 years ago my world was shattered. I lost 2 very important people Scott & Sally Jackson. 

On the 4th July I said goodbye to my mother in law Sally to Breast Cancer, then to be told on the 4th August that your partner has 2 lesions on the base of his brain. 

After a very long 10 weeks, 2 Brain surgeries at The Royal Melbourne Hospital followed by lots of stays at Peter Mac, Benalla & Wangaratta Hospital Scott lost his battle on the 16th of October 2015.

To then have your world shattered again in 2024, when told your 2 closest friends Meredith Prentice & Michele Berry have been diagnosed with Cancer. It brings it all back again.

Cancer sucks, it affects soo many people in soo many ways.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.
