I'm cutting my hair!
On Saturday I will be cutting my hair. I am cutting 20cm off. Thank you to everyone who has donated, I am proud to say that we have raised $1,893 as of now! I hope that this money helps a lot of families like mine and that my hair will help someone feel more confident in everyday life. I can’t thank everyone enough for donating, it means so much to me.
I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
A few months ago my Grandfather found out that he had stage 4 bile duct cancer. Bile duct cancer is very, very rare. Less than 900 Australians are diagnosed with gall bladder or bile duct cancer a year. They tried chemotherapy but after a while they found that it didn't work and it was decided to put him on palliative care. Palliative care is for someone with either an active, progressive or an advanced disease like cancer and helping them optimise the quality of the life they have left. I really want to help people like my Grandfather and their families who are going through what my family and I are going through and that's why I am going to be raising money and chopping off my hair to help people and families like mine and to go towards cancer research.
