Why am I doing this?
Hi there!
As you may already know, I'm turning 60 on the 24th April. This is a significant birthday for me as my wonderful mum, Norma, was diagnosed with lung cancer ( she was a non-smoker) when she was 64, dying 18 months later.
I also have many dear family & friends who have suffered terribly or lost their lives as a result of Cancer. With this, ever present in my mind, I'm fundraising to help support Cancer Council Victoria.
Cancer Council invests in life-saving cancer research, prevention programs that help people actively reduce their cancer risk, as well as vital support services for people affected by cancer.
With one in three Victorians diagnosed with cancer by the age of 75, it’s a sad truth that most of us know someone who's been affected by it. But we can all work towards a cancer free future by helping Council Cancer prevent cancer, empower patients and save lives.
