I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
In 2018 i commenced the treacherous journey of obtaining my MBA.
One night, whilst drinking with some of my fellow students, the challenge was posed to me to see if i could refrain from getting my haircut until i had completed my MBA.
I can't quite remember the exact conversation given the beers that had been consumed through out the evening, but that was the gist of it. And i enthusiastically accepted the challenge.
Here we are two and a half years later and i can sit here happily, with the MBA only a couple weeks away from being finished... but more importantly, with a thick mop of hair on my head, having made good on this promise and not receiving any kind of hair cut this whole bloody time!
Yes the journey has been tough.
Exams, projects, insane amounts of readings... but all of this paled in comparison to having to wear a beanie every single day of my life while my hair grew in and then since having to endure the washing and brushing required to prevent it from dreading- this part i learned the hard way and had to live through the tedious and merciless process of having dread locks combed out with olive oil and a stiff brush. I'll do the MBA three times over before having to ever do that again!
So in a couple weeks, i'll be shaving off the hair and donating it to someone that truly needs it more than i do.
I've worked very hard to keep it in good nick (after the dreadlock debacle) and i'm hoping to raise some cash to go with the donation of my thick black locks.
