Leona’s Little Locks of Love

This year, for her 4th birthday, Leona decided to celebrate in a truly special way by donating her hair to the Cancer Council Victoria. With a big heart and a desire to help others, she gave her beautiful locks to be made into wigs for children in need. Leona says, “Thank you for helping kids like me feel better. My hair will grow back, but some kids need it more right now. I hope my gift makes them smile.” 

To honor her kindness, we’ve created a fundraising page, “Leona’s Little Locks of Love”, to support cancer research and provide care for those affected by cancer. We’re deeply proud of Leona’s compassionate gesture and hope her story inspires others to spread love and hope.

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my event, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
