Final Task Complete

I was finally able to get to the hairdresser today and complete the story. Thank you to Nima and Clea who kept me company and took the pictures.

And the new Hair Do is

Today in our Team "Drop In", our GM Craig,  led the team in a fun exercise to choose the the hair do.  After much discussion, additional suggestions and laughs, the Team voted and the Pink Pixie as worn by the magnificent Helen Mirren was the winner!!

More importantly, the exercise generated further donations from my amazing work family bringing the total to just over $1900.

Together we have raised $1135 for Cancer Council to help them to continue with their  awesome work!!

I have spun the wheel and picked at random the person in charge of my new hair. There is now a decision making process  involving a team and a poll so I will check back in with you all  then and share details of what the new do will be.  Please click on this link at anytime to have a look around the page or navigate to other parts of the Cancer Council site or even pop in a donation if you feel so inclined.

One Week to Go!!!

I cant believe that there is only one week to go until the end of this fundraiser. Still plenty of time left to raise more fund to help Cancer Council Victoria continue their great work!!!

4 weeks to go!!

Only 4 weeks remaining of this fundraiser, to raise as much as possible for this great cause. Hope you are all browsing the internet in search of a weird, wild, colourful or conservative new Do for me.

$1,000 Raised!!!

$1000 can help equip a laboratory-based research team working on a new cancer treatment. Advances in the detection and treatment of cancer have been so crucial in getting Victoria’s cancer survival rate up to 69%, and it continues to ensure more people survive into the future.

Excited to see what we can achieve together by the end of August!!!

Fund Raising Commences

Today is a significant day for me, it has been 6 months since we lost my wonderful partner Darren and therefore it is timely to commence a fund raising project. This fundraiser starts today and will continue until 31.8.2021 when I will pick a person from the list of donors at random to choose my new hairdo. More important than my hair though it raising funds for the Cancer Council of Victoria to assist them to continue their awesome work.

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting , you are funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
