Tomorrow is the day

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to our Hair for Care donation page supporting the Cancer Council. We have just raised $2,500, I can't believe it!! You are all such amazing people and your support means the world to us and those that will benefit from your generosity. Hair for Care day is almost here!! Tomorrow is the big day that these long locks are coming off and will be donated to the Cancer Council for use in wigs for those affected by cancer. If anyone hasn't had the chance to donate yet you still have a few hours to do so! Here is the before photo, hair which I have been growing for many years. We will be up early to prepare the hair into small 25cm long plaits which will be cut around 9am. Stay tuned for the updates ?

October is always a bittersweet month for me. Lots of birthday celebrations but also the anniversary next week of the passing our amazing Mum/Nanna who lost her battle with breast cancer 14 years ago. As October is breast cancer awareness month this is a great reminder to keep checking for any breast changes.
To raise awareness of breast cancer I have decided to cut and donate my hair which will go to the Cancer Council to make wigs for those who have lost their hair due to cancer treatment. If anyone is in a position to make a small donation to Cancer Council and support me with this important contribution, our family would most appreciative and thankful. 
It will not be a shave but it will be at least a 25cm long section of plaited hair and as most of you know I have kept my hair long for many years. It will be a dramatic change but a worthwhile cause.
