Hey folks, it’s Joe just chiming in to say thanks a million for all the kind contributions and support! It’s pretty wild that we’ve managed to crack the goal of $1000 before even the first 24 hours rolled over! It has me thinking we oughta shoot for something major to justify the 20 and a bit days left before the deadline…We’re fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
My younger brother Joe has worn his hair long for over 10 years - close enough to half his life - and he’s decided it’s time to say his goodbye to it.
It’s been suggested that when the time came around, getting rid of his hair could be a great opportunity to raise money for a good cause; with a history of cancer in our family - our Nan, Pop, and Mum - we concluded that it was only natural to use this moment to fundraise for the Cancer Council Victoria, supporting their vital work in cancer research, prevention, and support services.
In addition to raising funds, Joe is also donating his hair to Sustainable Salons, who’ll use it to create wigs for those that’ve lost their hair due to medical treatment.
If you are able, please consider putting something towards our fundraiser. Every donation, big or small, will make a difference for people who’ve been affected by cancer. Even if you’re unable to pitch in, sharing this fundraiser around provides tangible assistance and would be much appreciated from us.
