I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

This year, when I was thinking how to celebrate my birthday, I decided it’d be great to fundraise for cancer.

My mum battled breast cancer and Fallopian tube cancer few years ago in Japan and I went back home to be with her. My mum is one of  the strongest, most positive person I've ever known but the cancer treatment was so tough on her I saw her wanting to give up so many times. Her cancer was hereditary so there was a chance either my sister or I would get it and of course It was my sister who was diagnosed. She is 39years old and having Salpingo-oophorectomy surgery this year. I am grateful that I don't have the cancer gene but very sad and feel horrible that my sister has got it.

From June 1st to 20th I've decide to run 71km. 71 might be not long but my mum is 71 years old this year and means a lot to me and on June 21st, which is my birthday, I will donate my hair and shave my head. My goal is to raise $500.
