Reasoning Behind Deciding to Fundraise for Cancer
Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.
My grandfather unfortunately passed away in 2016 from cancer, and I thought that I should raise some more awareness and raise funds for a disease that has such detrimental effects on individuals, friends, and family. This is a cause that relieves some of the pressure and burden that cancer carries and any donation is greatly appreciated.
Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting me in running 100km in July, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
