I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
Those of you who know me, especially those who know me well, know that I’ve had long hair for the longest time. Now this long hair of mine is long overdue for a hair cut.
But this cut will be a cut of a different kind. The kind of cut that makes a difference.
Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’. Thankfully, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much that can be done to improve these stats.
That’s why I’m challenging myself to chop my locks, donate my hair and raise some much needed funds along the way. By cutting more than 14 inches I’m hoping my hair can be used to make a wig for a child who has lost theirs during treatment. A child who needs it more than me.
By supporting my fundraising effort, you’re helping me to support the Cancer Council to further their research and extend prevention programs and support services to those who need it most.
