Why shed your beautiful hair??

In solidarity, I bare my scalp, To stand with those in the cancer's grasp. For every strand that falls away, A token of support, come what may.

In each gleaming dome, a tribute lies, To bravery in the face of tearful skies. No need for locks, no need for curls, Just hearts united against the world's whirls.

Questions may arise, curious minds inquire, Why shed your mane, why fuel the fire? But in this act, a message rings clear, Love and empathy, banishing fear.

For every question, here's my reply, A symbol of hope beneath the sky. In baldness, strength, in unity, grace, A poem of solidarity, in every face.

Being Bald is an emotion...

In a world where courage knows no bounds,

I shed my locks to stand on common grounds.

For those battling cancer, the fight is real,

Each day a struggle, yet they never kneel.

I've lost loved ones, felt the pain's sting,

Including my father, whom cancer did bring.

Hair, a symbol of identity and grace,

For women, its loss, a significant space.

Proudly Bald, my fundraising plea,

A tribute to those fighting, valiant and free.

To honor their courage, their spirit so bold,

With each shaved head, a story retold.

Join me in this journey, hand in hand,

Together, we'll make a stand.

For those who've fought, and those who'll fight,

With hope as our beacon, we'll shed the light.

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my event, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
