In loving memory of Pauline

By Claudia Crichton

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my event, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer

I am cutting my hair for someone I hold close to my heart. Recently I lost my nan, pauline, after just over a year of her brave fight with ovarian cancer. Through out her illness, she faced so much, including losing her hair, something that affected her confidence. We watched her struggle to find a beanie, a scarf, or a wig that felt right for her. Even through all of it she showed incredible strength, courage and grace. I am doing this in honour of her bravery and to help support anyone else going through something similar to my beautiful Nan.
