The cut :)

Gee July has flown by with only 2 days until I part with my long hair and Shave for a Cure.  It will happen at 6pm Thursday at Paurkhurst Woolworths. Gavin and Marie Stafford will have the honours of first cut with tribute to their son , my mate Andrew.  Robyn our Service Manager will then take charge of the clippers. Needing all the support you guys can muster and come cheer me on.

I've been asked by people why I would want to shave my hair off for cancer. Well I've got a couple good reasons dear to my heart that spurs me on to bring awareness the struggles of family and friends of those affected.
Today I would like to tell you about my mate Andrew.

Andrew was first diagnosed with melanoma at the tender age of 16 while we were in high school. He had it removed and cleared by 18. Life was good, He had his dream job in the mines. He loved his mum and dad. Everyone that knew him loved him also he was the life of the party. Then in 2012 after many misdiagnosis it was back, terminal. 
I watched a family struggle, but fight the battle everyday, I watched friends quietly move away because they didn't know what to say or help. 
My heart is still broken from losing Andy from my life. My heart still aches for his parents Gav n Marie.

We all face challenges throughout our  lives and most are by choice but then we are hit with something bigger than we can handle alone. Cancer sux!

I watched Cancer take an amazing young man way to early,  from a  cruel and aggressive  melanoma that knew no boundaries. I have also watch breast cancer ravage a beautiful woman body.

So I've decided to help the in the battle against this horrid disease by Shaving my hair off on the 31st July. Please follow my link below to donate.
