My why...

Every day, 101 Victorians are diagnosed with cancer. By donating to Cancer Council Victoria you're helping to ease the burden of this life-changing news - for the patients, their family, friends, and colleagues.

Like many families, my family unfortunately has felt the devastating impacts of cancer.
On 14th November, we lost my beautiful Auntie Sam to cervical cancer after receiving her diagnosis 7 years ago.
My Auntie was an incredibly strong and brave woman and every day she demonstrated such strength and determination in fighting this disease.

My beautiful mum has also recently been diagnosed with localised aggressive breast cancer and is currently undergoing treatment.

My running journey (300km) and fundraiser is in the hopes of raising funds and awareness of the devastating impacts of cancer. 

I do this in memory of my beautiful Auntie Sam. I also do this for my amazing mamma who is my best friend and forever person.
The strength of these incredible women is what continues to motivate and inspire me and others every day.

My thoughts and love go out to all those who have also been impacted by cancer.

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Brittany Anne, you are my beautiful angel 😇. You are the light in my life that gives me so much positive energy, love and encouragement. You are always there for me no matter what. In my darkest days you were the reason I got out of bed and pushed myself. You never ever gave up on me. So, it comes as no surprise to me that you would do this marathon in honour of your Auntie Sam and your ever doting Mamma Bear. You never cease to amaze me baby. You have trained so hard for the past 9 months and we can't wait to congratulate on the finish line. We are so unbelievably proud of you and I love you with all my heart and soul my beautiful angel 😇 forever and always
