To all my family and friends, Myself and Timothy will be raising money for my dearly loved grandfather again this year. Unfortunately my pop, William/Bill, is still fighting his battle a year later. 

In support of my fundraiser both Tim and I have dyed our hair blue and will be walking/running 100kms by the end of the month. The reason our hair is blue again this year is because blue is the colour that represents stomach cancer and we want to show as much support as we possibly can. At the end of the day, if we can show support and make someone smile by dying our hair a crazy colour, why wouldn’t you?  

My pop is a very large part of my life, him being the only male figure in my life I want to show him he has my support throughout his whole journey. While I may not be able to help physically with his situation, I can help raise money to go towards research of his particular type of cancer. 

Bill has been battling cancer for over a year now. It has been absolutely heart breaking watching him suffer. He has had both his stomach and spleen removed as well as half his pancreas. After many rounds of chemo, pick lines in, pick lines out, hospital nights and many, many pain killers, we still see him in pain. 

Help us and help Bill raise awareness to get better treatment options and a cure. 

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.
