Being mid September, I should have been sporting my new hair do by now but unfortunately due to the extended lockdown in Melbourne, this hasn't happened.

There's no need to panic though! It just creates more time for us to band together and raise more dollars for this incredible cause.

My hair appointment will be rescheduled as soon as the restrictions on the industry lift, I promise!

Why Am I Doing This!?

For all of my adult life, I have had a pull towards helping support cancer research and care.

The last almost 10 years have seen me volunteering for the wonderful program called Look Good Feel Better (check it out!!) which is a responsibility that I thoroughly enjoy.

6 years ago I chose to do this fundraiser and cut my hair off in support of someone close to me who was going through her own cancer journey.... now, my hair has grown back and I am ready to go again!

This time around, I will be donating the hair to Sustainable Salons to be made into wigs and the money raised by anyone who chooses to donate here will go directly to the cancer council for much needed research and help to the cancer community.

Please help me to reach my goal.... and exceed it!

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

After growing my hair for 6 years from my last hair chop fundraiser, I have decided to do it again. The hair will be donated to be made into wigs and all money raised obviously goes towards a very important cause.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my walk, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
