The BIG day!
Today was the day Annabelle said good bye to her long hair and sent her pony tails off to be made into wigs! Words can’t express how proud Annabelle’s community are of her.The Pony Tail Chop is set!
I have booked in the date for my pony tail chop for my hair donation! I will be doing it at my school this coming Friday with the support of my friends and teachers.I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
Hi my name is Annabelle and I am almost 7 years old. I learnt about cancer a few years ago when a close family member had leukaemia. I decided all on my own that I wanted to grow my hair so it would be long enough to donate. I want to do this because I want to be kind and help others.
Please help me raise money for cancer council while I prepare to cut my hair to donate to sustainable salons to make wigs.
Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.
Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.
Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my event, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
