Pink Tees day

By Andrew Grant

Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in Australia. 1 in 7 woman and about 1 in 700 men are diagnosed in their lifetime. 9 Australians are dying a day from the disease.

So we at Eastwood golf club have decided to do something about it by having a Pink Tees charity golf day with the aim of raising as much money as we can to help with breast cancer research.

The day kicks off at 12 noon for a 12.30 shotgun start, playing a 4 person drop out ambrose. At the conclusion it’s into the clubhouse for prize presentation, raffles, delicious 2 course meal and a special guest speaker.

The day is open to all golfers at a cost of $45 for golf and dinner or $35 for dinner only. Come along and support a great cause and play a great course in the outer east of Melbourne, sporting something pink or incur a fine.

I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

Every year more than 35,000 Victorians hear the words ‘you have cancer’.

Thanks in part to generous Victorians, 7 in 10 of them will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there’s still so much work to be done.

Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer free future. By supporting my pink event, you’re funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
