Fighting Cancer: Time to give these locks the snip!
So it (my hair) started in January 2021 as a bit of a change of hair-style. I mean, why not? Raging COVID, everyone's working from home and all client meetings were on (front-facing) video calls anyway.
That little hairdo experiment with a man-tail, turned into an aspiration to grow my hair into the style for my Halloween costume (which I never wore). Then it just turned into a constant argument between friends about getting it chopped off until my raging obstinance took over - and so it remained uncut.
Just like that, my fat head has been hiding behind the streaky mop or the occasional samurai bun for the past 2 years. But it's time to bring it back from the wilderness.
Alas my dears: All good things must come to an end, right? And what better way to go out in style than for a good cause.
So I am hoping to achieve 2 things!
(1) Raise some funds for the Cancer Council, and
(2) In the process donate my locks to "Sustainable Salons", which is a social enterprise that works with other organisations that work with people suffering hair-loss.
