I’m fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.
More than 35,000 Victorians
hear the words 'you have cancer' every year.
Many live every day wondering
when it will be their last day. Perhaps all have had concerns for their loved
ones. Undergoing vicious rounds of treatment, they need mental and physical
support more than ever.
My Mother's story is not a
sole occasion. I know there are many similar tragic stories to my Mother's
globally. She passed away in 2020 after nearly five years of courageously
battling lung cancer. In order to honour my Mother this year for her birthday
and mine, I am organising a picnic on the 20th of November this year.
Thanks to generous Victorians,
7 in 10 will survive five years after a cancer diagnosis, but there is still so
much work to be done.
Cancer Council needs our support more than ever this year. Every dollar raised gives hope for a cancer-free future. By supporting my event, you are funding life-saving cancer treatments, prevention programs, and support services that ensure no one has to face cancer alone.
