My fundraiser

My name is Emily and I am currently taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh award at my school. As a part of this requirement, I need to fundraise for a charity I am passionate about.

I have chosen the Cancer Council.

My life and many of my family and friends have been touched by cancer. My heart breaks when I think of what I have seen in my short life. My mum has battled this horrible disease, my amazing grandad passed away from cancer and I have family and friends that are currently battling cancer. I want to raise money to help with life-saving research, prevention programs and support services for anyone affected by cancer.

Cancer is the leading cause of death in Australia. At current rates, it is expected that one in two Australians will be diagnosed with cancer by the age of 85. If I can raise any money that will assist and support these families then I will be so happy. Please help me in raising money for these families and making a difference in finding a cure. I have joined forces with my friend Nicole and we are creating a fundraiser with The Body Shop. These product are so well known and loved by Australians. Nicole is a body shop consultant and has kindly donated All profits (25%) directly to my fundraiser. If you are interested, you can join my Facebook page called ‘Stop cancer fundraiser by Emily’ .
