We did it!

The Skye Ride for Cancer Council Australia is complete, and what a week it’s been!

Our team set out to hit 1,000 KM in one week and we smashed it, reaching a total of 1,123.49 KM!

Together, we’ve raised $1,398, and with Skye donating $1 for every kilometre ridden, that’s an incredible $2,522 going towards the Cancer Council.

A massive thank you to everyone who rode, donated, or cheered us on. Every bit counts.

Why Nat Is Riding With Skye

“Hi, I’m Nat!

I’m riding for my family friend, Mr Ed. Growing up, his and his wife’s door was always open for my sisters and me. Even as adults, we could call and say, “Hey, can we come stay?” and the answer was always yes, no questions asked. He was a friend to everyone and always had a bit of life advice ready to share.

I’m also riding for Wes and Di, two people who became almost like second parents while I was living in their home. They supported me through every adventure and decision, and so much of who I am today was shaped by their kindness and guidance.

Cancer has touched nearly everyone I know in some way. Riding is my way to honour those who’ve faced it, and to do my part in raising awareness and support for the Cancer Council."

This is more than just good exercise and team bonding for Phil. He’s seen the impact cancer has had on the people he loves, friends, family, the ones closest to him.

That’s what drives him to keep riding. It’s not just about the distance, it’s about showing up, remembering, and doing something that matters.

We're fundraising for Cancer Council Victoria to help stop cancer.

This October, a team from Skye Wealth is taking on a challenge close to the heart - to ride a combined 1,000 kilometres in 7 days, raising funds and awareness for the Cancer Council.

We’ll be riding in honour of our clients, families and friends who’ve faced cancer, and sharing why this cause matters so deeply to us. Alongside the ride, we’ll be raising awareness of the role life insurance and financial advice can play in giving people support when life takes an unexpected turn.
